Established in 2007 by the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Inlailawatash is an innovative company that provides a range of Sustainable Resource and Cultural Support services to a diverse set of clients. JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a key member of the negotiation team, the Negotiations Associate will be responsible for:
• Coordinating several major project negotiation files for the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and potentially other Indigenous clients.
• Collaborating with senior leaders, legal advisors, and other third-party consultants on complex negotiation files.
• Providing analysis and insight into the negotiation processes.
• Contributing to strategic planning and organization of the negotiation process.
• Participating and supporting senior leaders in major project negotiation files and meetings.
• Supporting the organization and administrative requirements of the negotiation team.
• Drafting Briefing Notes and other materials for leadership.
• Presenting materials to Indigenous communities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Education/Experience
• Post-secondary degree or graduate degree in Indigenous governance, business, legal or negotiation related discipline is an asset.
• Experience in a related field with some direct experience in negotiations and Indigenous community outreach.
Technical Skills
• Excellent management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, public speaking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a high-performance team.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands
• Significant desk work with extended periods of computer work (virtual and in-person meetings).
• Regular travel to meetings in the Vancouver area.
