In 2012, Inlailawatash was contracted by Arrowstone to undertake a detailed analysis of an assemblage of stone tools recovered from an archaeological site near Lytton, B.C. This entailed mineralogical identification of the tools by using a Near-Infrared (NIR) spectrometer (a non-destructive, non-marking technique), and typological description of the tools with reference to a recent comprehensive study of such artifacts. These results were then compared to broad regional patterns of the distribution of such tools. This analysis integrated expert-level research into an ongoing Cultural Heritage Management study undertaken by Arrowstone.
