The restoration and landscaping works involved:
- Laying 1,200 cubic yards of soil and sand;
- Removal of invasive vegetation, such as Himalayan blackberry and Japanese knotweed;
- Planting of native tree and shrub species, including 130 new trees 1m to 3m in height and 1,100 shrubs;
- Construction of an infiltration swale, incorporating the planting of 2,300 grasses.
Inlailawatash has received highly positive feedback for the landscaping work, both from Port Metro Vancouver and from numerous park users.
