Jason Forsyth, M.Sc., RPF



Jason is an Economic Development Officer with Tsleil-Waututh Nation who manages the renewable resources portfolio. Through this role, Jason functions as the CEO of Inlailawatash Forestry Limited Partnership, Executive Manager of Salish Seas Limited Partnership and the facilitator of a multi-First Nations strategic lands negotiation team. As a Registered Professional Forester (RPF), Jason has close to 20 years experience working for Indigenous peoples in the context of land use planning, forest stewardship and sustainable economic development. He takes pride in working for a progressive company that uses a distinctly holistic approach to work, and demonstrates both environmental and cultural values. Jason holds a BSc. in Natural Resources Conservation and a MSc. in Aboriginal Natural Resources Policy from the University of British Columbia. He has authored a variety of land use plans and professional reports based on work completed in British Columbia, Labrador, Indonesia and Nigeria. In 2014, one of Jason's academic works was published as a chapter in a new book entitled Aboriginal Peoples and Forest Land in Canada.
